Employment Forms
I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
The Internal Revenue Service requires employers to verify an employee’s employment eligibility through form I-9. The I-9 form references identity documents, and the most commonly used documents are a state-issued driver’s license (or state issued ID) and a social security card. Alternatively, a U.S. passport can be used in lieu of the driver’s license and social security card.
W-4 Employee Withholdings Certificate
The Internal Revenue Service requires employers to establish appropriate withholdings from employees’ paychecks based on information provided by the employee through form W-4.
